Finally, the historic day for Gujarat is here; today the state will decide between the campaigning efforts of two major powers. However, the Gujarat battle erupted amid BJP-Congress controversies which turned into the toxic war of words, conspiracies and slander. It has all started with the campaigning across the poll-bound state. On the very first, the Congress party’s newly elected president Rahul Gandhi had attacked the BJP’s initiatives like GST by defining it as Gabbar Singh Tax. Later on, the war of words has continued by the BJP’s leader or the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And the controversies of Gujarat ended by the Congress leader Alpesh Thakor’s comment, Imported Mushroom over PM Modi.
While campaigning for the Gujarat Assembly Elections, PM Modi described Congress party rule as Aurangzeb Raj, ahead of party vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s elevation as the party president. After PM Modi’s comment over Congress party, controversies sparked, however, PM Modi made this comment after the remarks of Congress senior leader, Mani Shankar Aiyar who said that “it is not obvious that ruler’s child would get the throne”. He proudly commented on his party, said, “Jahangir ki jagah jab Shahjahan aaye, kya tab koi chunav hua tha? Jab Shahjahan ki jagah Aurangzeb aaye, tab koi election Hua tha? Yeh toh pehlay se hi pata tha ki jo Badshah hai, uski aulad ko hi Satta Milegi.”
However, it is not the first time when the BJP has taunted towards the Congress. In the first phase of the Gujarat Assembly election, the BJP has launched its first attack over the Congress by calling it as a laughing club.
In the opposition of what, the senior Congress leader Anand Sharma criticised PM Modi for his language and said his language is questionable. Also, added that PM Modi has brought down the political level to the lowest. Although the Congress is not fair behind the war of words in Gujarat election campaign as Congress built his campaign around the BJP government initiatives like demonetisation and (GST) Goods and Services Tax.
On another side, in the series of rallies Congress newly elected President Rahul Gandhi said that PM Modi had forced Gabbar Singh Tax on the people that have destroyed the small and medium-sized business. This war of words overflowed controversies amid BJP-Congress before the Gujarat Assembly elections. And now the war of words, slander and conspiracies between the parties will flee away with the results.
