Bhai Dooj 2017: Women gets free ride in DTC buses today

Bhai Dooj is Hindu auspicious festival that celebrates by every sister and brother. So, to make this festival more prosperous and precious as the Government of India plans to run the free DTC rides for the women. Although this free service of DTC buses has always provided to the women on the auspicious festival of Rakshabandhan and Bhai Dooj. It is the festival which is celebrated by the Hindus of the India and Nepal. This festival marks on the second lunar day of the Shukla Paksha in the Karthik month according to the Vikram Samvat Hindu Calendar.

On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, women in the city are now easily able to travel for free in the buses of Delhi Transport Corporation on 21st October. On Saturday, in the Delhi-NCR region, women can get a free ride in the AC and no AC low floor buses from the 8 am to 10 pm.

Women passengers can get free rides every year on Bhai Dooj in the DTC buses with the good arrangements to manage the rush of the passengers. And also keeping in the mind of the heavy rush of commuters on this occasion, the government has deployed adequate traffic supervisory staff to help the commuters.
