Akshaya Navmi is also known as Amla Navmi which is observed on the Shukla Navmi during the Karthik month according to the Hindu calendar. It is significantly called as Akshaya Tritiya. This day celebrated with performing all sorts of Daan-Punya and giving activities. Today is the auspicious day of Akshaya Navmi in which devotees worshipped Lord Vishnu along with Amla tree. It is to be said that on this precious day of Navmi devotees plant gooseberry trees at their home. According to the Hindu mythology, planting gooseberry tree on this Navmi brings health and wealth to home.

Akshaya Navmi is very significant that is observed in most of the parts of India such Mathura-Vrindavan and West Bengal. In West Bengal this Navmi observed as Jagaddhatri Puja where devotees worshipped Goddess of Satta Jagaddhatri. On this day many people perform charitable or devotional activities to bring wealth to their home and benefit their next incarnations.

In Mathura-Vrindavan thousands of devotees walk all of the rounds through the twin town to earn maximum Punya by performing Daan means giving activities. Devotees plant Amla tree because according to the Vastu it is considered auspicious and beneficial to plant Amla tree in the house. As Amla tree brings health, wealth, richness, knowledge and wisdom to the house. As per the reports, devotees can plant a tree from 6:34 am in the morning to 12:04 pm that will be of around 5 hours 29 minutes.
