It has been confirmed that Aamir Khan is going to produce the biopic for Gulshan Kumar. Aamir Khan’s production company, and T-Series are going to produce the movie together, and it is going to be directed by the maker of Jolly LLB, Subhash Kapoor. There had been some reports that Akshay Kumar is going to star in the project, however, there has been no official announcement yet. The movie was previously titled, Mogul. But, it seems that Akshay Kumar has left the project due to date issues. Aamir hasn’t confirmed his involvement as the lead in the movie, but it would be interesting if he does come on board to play the famous producer.
Gulshan Kumar was the founder of T Series Music producer as well as music producer in Bollywood industry. He was shot dead outside the Jeeteshwar Mahadev Mandir, in Jeet Nagar, Andheri, Mumbai on August 1997. It was revealed that the underworld company was involved in his murder. Abdul Rauf Merchant, a contract killer was responsible for his death. Gulshan was cremated in Delhi. His life story, and the events around his death are really compelling and are going to make a very good movie, if the writers try to portray things honestly and don’t change facts or mold them in ways that are wrong.
And whoever actors gets the opportunity to play the music director is going to be very lucky and should do justice to the role. The movie is being scheduled for a 2019 release date, so it could begin shooting soon.
