Today, the special CBI court released A.Raja, accused in the 2G scam. The special CBI court has acquitted all 18 accused including A.Raja and Kanimozhi of the 2G scam case. The verdict of 2G scam is finally out today. As per the reports, the Patiala House Court has failed to prove any of its charge on the accused. Thus, the court has acquitted all 18 accused including A.Raja, a minister who was alleged of the corruption, manipulating, TRAI’s recommendations and violation of the law. And the reports are coming that now CBI will appeal High Court for the judgement on 2G scam case. Related to the decision of Patiala House Court, the Congress leader Kapil Sibal said his theory of no loss has proved by the court.
The 2G scam was a shocking scam for the Country as well as government. It was the scam which caused a national loss of a staggering Rs 1.76 lakh crore to the Indian national exchequer. It is one of the world’s biggest scam. Also, the 2G scam was the major drawback for the downfall of UPA’s Congress party and the leader Manmohan Singh government in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. According to the reports, the main accused in the 2G scam case majorly deals with spectrum licenses which have been sold at throwaway prices.
Andimithu Raja who was telecom Minister during the time of scam and the leader of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. He has held for the corruption of Rs 200 crore. As per the reports, he sold the licenses at the basement price of 2001, which is overstepping in the law of the nation. In 2008, the 2G scam case became popular among the public. And the court alleged that A Raja for violating the law and misusing funds.
Today, the prosecution has miserably failed to prove its case said, Judge OP Saini. Therefore, all the accused of 2G scam case acquitted today including A.Raja, Kanimozhi, Vijay Aggarwal, Lawyer of Swan Telecom promoters Shahid Usman Balwa, Vinod Goenka and others.
