Wonder women directed by Patty Jenkins has already confirmed the box office of making highest-grossing film directed by a woman and its box office collection is $718 million , marking the highest offering film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) in the U.S. Wonder women is the second live-action theatrical film featuring the eponymous character by following her debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. Later that year, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad drove the series by collecting $2 billion territories.

On the other hand, this weekend has made the Wonder woman to relax a bit by coming of Baby Driver, Despicable Me3 and Cars 3. Baby Driver and Despicable 3 opens Friday and has crossed $29.97 and $99.02 million till date. Not to mention, WW is also the highest rated film in the DCEU. In fact, Wonder woman racked up a cool $15.7 million over the holiday weekend, beating the kid friendly Cars 3.

Positive reviews and word-of-mouth helped the movie reign supreme at the box office for several weeks, and it continues to impress the audience.  Diana, our wonder woman has officially kicked Batman V Superman and the damn Suicide Squad to the limit. Queen Hippolyta was right, Diana: We do not deserve you. Wonder Woman, however, had the best second-weekend box office of any modern superhero movie in Hollywood. It set many box office records by coming up with highest grossing film directed by a  woman and largest opening by a female-led in a comic book movie. And we do not know if it stops because Wonder woman could become the first billion dollar entry in the franchise of DCEU. Which could also make a way for Wonder Woman sequel. And it is really a great new for female directors and female real roles artists. Popularity for such studios shows the fan following and it’s great for the SUPER HEROINES in future.
