Varun Dhawan’s box office record is impeccable and perhaps no other actor in the country is even second to that. Varun started his career in 2012 with ‘Student of the Year’ which turned out to be a huge hit on the box office. Since than he has done 9 films and all have been either hits or superhits. Credit goes to him because all of those films are different from each other and he did not make use of a franchise to deliver the numbers that he had in India and abroad as well.
He has done alternate content film like ‘Badlapur’ which got an audience because of him and became a successful venture which is a cult now. He took on Salman Khan starrer ‘Judwaa’ and came up with ‘Judwaa 2’ only to deliver his first solo blockbuster which catered to all the strata of this country. He managed to gain success with ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania’ and made a sequel to it by the name of ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ which was an even bigger hit. ‘Dilwale’ which was a multi starrer with superstar Shahrukh Khan was a total winner on the bank and dug box office really deep.
He is coming up with ‘October’ now which is again an alternate content poetry in motion and has garnered nothing but love from the audience on the basis of trailer and songs. There are no two ways about the fact that ‘October’ is going to be a lovely film as it is directed by maestro Shoojit Sircar who is blessed with the ability of not making mediocre films at all. Opening numbers of the film will define how much it will eventually grow on the ticket window but even if it is mediocre, it will be a profitable venture to say the least.
