Vivegam is the most awaited Tamil film of the year as it celebrates Thala Ajith Kumar’s 25 years in the film industry. Made on the budget of 120 crores, film has seen 90% occupancy from the day it was released. Opened phenomenally well in overseas as well, Vivegam did 105 crores worldwide. In 2 days Vivegam has earned around 66 crores worldwide and broke many records in India and outside. Despite of the fact that it was released with highly acclaimed Arjun Reddy, nothing affected Vivegam. Fandom around this film has been incredible because reviews of these films were mixed and going by that it should not have been seen by these many people.
25 years of Ajith Kumar was an exceptional card played by makers and worked really well for them. Vivegam has shown no sign of slowing down and trade has it that it will earn around 300 crores worldwide or more. By its mounting and cost, it is the biggest film of Thala and strives completely on his shoulders. Apart from Ajith there is no actor in the film that could have brought this number of audience to the screens.
Vivek Oberoi who plays the prime antagonist has close to nothing fan following in the South of India. Kajal Aggarwal is a star but she is seen in every 3rd film doing the same kind of roles hence her credibility is now limited to the support only. Vivegam has at least 2 more weeks considering the frenzy around it to do more numbers.
