Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli got married on Sunday, and made the announcement on Monday, to the joy and happiness of their fans and friends, who were not invited to the wedding that took place in Italy. Wishes and congratulations started flooding after Aushka made the public announcement on her twitter account with her and Virat’s photograph during the wedding ceremony. Bollywood stars from Amitabh Bachchan, to Shahrukh to producer Karan Johar, all joined in to celebrate the union of the two love birds, and congratulate them on twitter, sharing the pictures and writing beautiful comments on their accounts.
Curiously, Ranveer Singh, who was allegedly in relationship with Anushka Sharma for a few years, liked Anushka’s tweet, but refrained himself from commenting about the wedding on his twitter account. Actress’ Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also congratulated the couple, along with other Bollywood divas. The Virushka hashtag has been trending throughout the two days, and has become the topic of discussion on the International social media platforms.
In his tweet congratulating his co-star, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, Ab yeh hui na real Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, referencing his blockbuster with Anushka, Rab Ne Bana de Jodi. The Big B of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Anushka & Virat .. love and wishes for this auspicious day .. togetherness always !!” The “Meryl Streep” of Bollywood, SriDevi also offered her congratulations and best wishes to the couple, writing on her twitter account, Congratulations, may this partnership last forever, god bless.”
The tinsel town has become a shower of wishes and blessings for the newly married couple, as they begin their lives together. The couple will be traveling to south Africa to spend their time together, and then Anushka will return to India to start shooting for her movie with Varun Dhawan, the Yash Raj production, Sui Dhaga.
