Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Kareena Kapoor and Shika Talsania have been promoting their upcoming Veere Di Wedding. The movie, which is being described as not a chick flick, but a story of four female friends, is directed by Shashanka Ghosh, and is releasing on June 1 2018. Sonam, Swara and Shika were recently interviewed by the Radio City India about the movie, and revealed about their characters. Sonam plays Avni Sharma, and she said that she had wanted to play a character who was a little different from the ones she had played before, and even though there were other roles in the script, she was attracted to Avni because of her personality, a sensible friend who is still wild like others in her own way.

Swara, who plays Sakshi Soni, described her character as being frustrated, impulsive and wild, but unable to do all things she wants, so she encourages, Meera, played by Shika, to be as crazy as she can be during the wedding and other wise.

The three co-stars and friends also talked about Sonam’s wedding and how, everyone had live streamed her reception on Instagram. Sonam, who is against grand weddings, said that the reception was also a small affair, but Swara pulled her leg by saying that the party was as big as it could be. Sonam also thanked Mika, for performing in the reception for eight hours, when he was only supposed to do it for 2, because everyone wanted to dance. Shika also named all the delicious food that was on display in the party. The actress’ also shared, how, Sonam’s wedding had been decided for March, but coincided with Swara’s brother’s wedding, which created a problem for the friends, until the former’s marriage was shifted back by two months.
