Veere Di Wedding box office collection: Kareena and Sonam Kapoor starrer is breaking the bank

Kareena and Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is on a roll as it became the third highest opening grosser in Hindi cinema after Padmaavat and Baaghi 2. Film opened on Friday to a phenomenal number of 10.70 crores which is the maximum ever for a women oriented narrative and it does bring on a layer of change. Word of mouth is quite polarizing for this one as some found entertainment value in the film while others saw it as a complete waste of time. Film might be a bit non issue as far as conflict is concerned because it is just very first world problems.

Characters in this film are living a dream life of richness and pleasure but all they have figured out is to complaint. Film revolves around a marriage and nothing really goes wrong in it but Kareena’s altitude which her character also recognizes as downright docile. Audience clearly praised the film as the second day collections are 12.25 crores. Two day total to that is 22.95 crores which is incredible as the budget of this one is not too much. Sonam apparently waited a very long while to get this film made and also for Kareena as she got pregnant with Taimur.

Sonam was unable to find the producers hence the family decided to held the hand and so did Ekta Kapoor. It will be a very profitable venture as the collections are expected to gross 35 crores by Sunday. It nearly has no competition with Bhavesh Joshi though the film is exceptional but not a lot of audience members are coming in for that. It was a film feud between the siblings and a superhero film lost to female led star cast, perhaps this country is quite unique. Bhavesh Joshi does not even have 1/5th of collections as Veere Di Wedding.
