Veere Di Wedding box office collection: Kareena and Soan Kapoor passed the Monday litmus test on ticket window

‘Veere Di Wedding’ refuses to slow down on the box office as it has now conquered the Monday as well. Film had grosses 36.52 crores till weekend which is fantastic as the Sunday was 13.57 crores. It is certainly the maximum for a female driven star cast but the film is receiving a lot of flack for caricature characters of modern urban women. Nonetheless mass audience is praising it and going in repeatedly which has resulted in ground breaking collections as it is third highest for a Hindi film in 2018. This year is contributing massively to the box office as the chips were down incredibly in 2017 with lowest footfalls.

On Monday film did a phenomenal business of 6.04 crores and the total so far went up to 42.56 crores, which is nothing but magical considering everything. Sonam and Ekta Kapoor have made some serious profit from that film because the word of mouth increases the value of satellite and web rights. Raw collections have made this film a hit already though it is highly unlikely that it will reach upto 100 crores as Raazi did because that film was actually loved immensely. Veere Di Wedding might not cross 80 crore mark lifetime because potential summer blockbusters have started to arrive on the box office.

Next week will be a big clash in India between Rajinikanth starrer ‘Kaala’ and global phenomenon ‘Jurrasic World: The Fallen Kingdom’. Both of these films are going to sweep up the box office’s tail from every angle and all the other pre-existing films would be begging for shows. Veere Di Wedding showed a great hype but the true result is life time collections and those don’t seem to be very impressive. At the end of the day film would just stop at a certain point but the producers would keep on bragging about the opening as they have shied away completely from the reviews because those are not favorable.
