The famous singer and composer, Ustad Shamsher Singh Mehndi passed away this morning. Shamsher Singh Mehndi, who was the elder brother of renowned singer brothers, Mika Singh and Daler Mehndi, has very strongly played the role in making the Punjabi folk dance, Bhangra famous worldwide.
Mika Singh who is in Canada right now as per the reports, took his Twitter account and told the world about his brother and wrote in great pain, “Waheguru ji ka Khalsa sri Waheguru ji ki Fateh..Very sad news for our family that our older brother Ustad ShamsherSingh ji has passed away.” We are very sorry for the same and I hope everyone is. Shamsher Singh Mehndi, who was suffering from jaundice for last one and half month, and was hospitalised for the same, passed away this morning in Vedanta hospital, Delhi, as per Mika Singh’s spokesperson. We are really sad for the another great loss to the music industry.
Shamsher Singh, who has performed at multiple stages along with his talented brothers, Mika Singh and Daler Mehndi. Also, he has a lot of songwriting and was famous for recording producer. Recently, Shamsher Singh was spotted at the TV reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs as the jury member. Soon after Mika Singh, shared the news of the brother on Twitter, fans all over the social media are paying condolence for the departed soul.
