As the year is about to end there have been some chartbuster songs and the ones who wrench the heart. The rap culture has taken over Hindi language as well and artists are making some phenomenal hits. Laila main Laila from Raees was the first chartbuster of this year as it grossed more than 180 million views on YouTube. Sunny Leone’s item number was a Helen song in the 70’s modified to be played in the year 2017. The song instantly become a chartbuster on all the platforms and the nation grooved to it’s tune. Ye Ishq Hai from Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon was a melodic track in the voice of Arijit Singh that spoke in metaphors about how love is connected to their conditions in life now.

One of the biggest musicals of the year was Half Girlfriend and the song Tu Thorri derr in the voice of Farhan Saeed melted many hearts in 2 version with in the album. Once very popular song Raabta from Agent Vinod was used in the film Raabta and it sounded a whole lot more wonderful than the original one. Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta had a beautiful song in the voice of Arijit by the name of Ik Vaari aa.

Jagga Jasoos was a musical film in nature and the song Galti Se Mistake sung by Arijit Singh and Amit Mishra was a chartbuster and became very successful in all leading digital platforms. Jab Harry met Sejal could easily be called as musical of the year with chart-pumping and softer ones from the exceptional mind of Pritam. Hawayein from the film was the biggest hit but songs like Ghar, Jee ve Sohneya, Parinda, Raula, Phurr, Radha, Butterfly are all classics with their respective listening ears. jee ve Sohneya sung by Nooran sisters was about as close as anybody will ever get to Imtiaz’s Rockstar. Overall the year was a decent mix of music but brilliant music from Hindi cinema is almost getting replenished.

  • You had talk about taken over of rap songs over Hindi but should also mention that most of our new songs are remake of the old Hindi songs.Lack of originality left in Bollywood.
