Mammoth blockbuster Tiger Zinda Hai has out grossed the lifetime collections of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick. Kick was a superhit in itself earning 232 crores domestically lifetime and Tiger took 9 days to clear out the number and 232.50 crores. Nothing out there is stopping Tiger to break more records as the film has absolutely no competition in Hindi language till Mukkabaz and Kaalakandi come along on 12th January. Jumanji is the only threat to Tiger’s collection right now but a Dwayne Johnson film isn’t exactly going to affect Salman in India. While Hugh Jackman’s mega release The Greatest Showman has very limited number of screens in India.
Velaikkaran and Aruvi are riding high in south Indian cinema houses perhaps affecting Tiger’s market there but Salman’s stardom is pan India. In the top 3 all time biggest hits of Hindi cinema, a list which consists of Mughal-E-Azam and Sholay has 1994 release Hum Aapke Hain Kaun standing tall on the 3rd position with inflated collections more than a 1000 crores. Salman’s next release is Race 3 on EID 2018 and trade is expecting box-office numbers to come crashing down because Race is already a huge franchise.
