Suriya and Rakul Preet starrer ‘Suriya 36’ first look to be out on this date

Fresh off the success of Thaana Serndha Kottam which has completed glorious 50 days in cinema halls, Suriya’s next film which is tentatively titled ‘Suriya 36’ will have a title and a poster on 5 March 2018. Rakul Preet, who has mostly starred in Telugu films will be seen opposite Suriya in this one. Sai Pallavi will be portraying an important character while the venture will be directed by Selvaraghavan. In 35 films so far Suriya has become one of the biggest stars ever in the history of Tamil cinema while someone like Vijay has done 61 films already. Considering Suriya is younger than him in terms of age there is a good chance that he could be coined as the superstar by the time he reaches his 60th films.

Suriya has an impeccable capability to blend commerce with credibility which makes him the hero of masses and niche audience as well. He will do a Ghajini with convince and make it a mammoth hit while simultaneously he will also do a 24, which is story telling at it’s finest and because of his name attached tot he film it will also be seen by a huge number of people. Suriya 36 might end up being more like a niche attempt of his because he already has a blockbuster in Thaana Serndha Kottam.

Suriya has mostly followed one for the audience and one for himself formula in his career while Rakul Preet is known to be in big commercial hits with superstars such as Allu Arjun. Rakul recently tried her hand in Hindi cinema opposite Siddharth Malhotra in a film called Aiyaary, but it ended up being a disaster though to no fault of her. Rakul wanted to do sensible cinema with a narrative that does not break into dancing all of a sudden but unfortunately it could not be worth it.
