Father-Duaghter duo Suniel and Athiya Shetty will be working together on screen for the first time after a long wait. Time and again Athiya has mentioned that she would really like to act with her legendary father who hardly does films anymore. Athiya is very active in her philanthropy work with mother Mana Shetty and for the cause she will be making an informative video with her father in it. She would be doing it to promote a cause about educating girl child and Suniel would show up in it talking about the same.
Athiya’s last film ‘Mubarakan’ co-starring Arjun Kapoor was a hit on the box office though her performance was not praised as much. She has not had the best time at the movies so far and engages herself in social causes a lot plus Suniel’s stardom can certainly help in bringing the light to the issue as more number of people would subscribe to the content and perhaps the cause as well. Video will also talk about the growing issue of female infanticide in the country due to which a lot of girls never get to have the life in the first place.
Cause promoting video will be out in sometime but Athiya has not announced any film post Mubarakan. Suniel himself was last seen in Siddharth Malhotra starrer ‘ A Gentleman’ which practically tanked at the box office as he played a anti-hero in it. Suniel’s performance was highly praised in the film as his demeanor is there to shine on screen but lack of good story could not save the fate of the film. Many reports are flying around that Suniel will be a part of ‘Hera Pheri 3’ but makers have not confirmed anything about the film apart from the fact that it has been shelved twice already.
