Star Wars: The Last Jedi i.e. episode VIII is an epic space opera and is the second film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy following Star Wars: The Force Awakens that released in 2015. Ever since Luke Skywalker turned and removed his hood in the cliffhanger final moment of the last edition of the franchise, fans have been speculating wildly about what will happen in the next instalment and IT IS HERE!! well not exactly but we’ve atleast been treated to a teaser poster and trailer of the much anticipated film.
Having taken her first steps into the larger world in the last episode, Rey continues her epic journey with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the saga. The director, Rian Johnson debuted a new teaser image, which features Rey holding her lightsaber to the sky with Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren’s faces gazing above her.
Have a look here :
Coming to the teaser, the journey of the characters is set immediately after the events of 2015’s The Force Awakens. There is a lot going on in here, even in the short snippets of footage we get to see. There is the continuation of Rey’s training with Luke, glimpses of some intriguing new worlds, some trouble for the Resistance and what appears to be a huge space battle between the Resistance and the First Order.
The title Last Jedi has already prompted a lot of speculation about the film’s plot and the trailer only adds to it. And then there are those menacing words from a weary and tired Master Skywalker, “ It’s time for the Jedi to end”. So yes that justifies the title.
Looks like we will have to wait for more details into the plotline, because the teaser doesn’t give out much and rightfully so.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters December 15, 2017.
