Sri Sri Ravi Shankar saw Padmaavat and did not find anything objectionable

In a special screening religious guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar saw Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial epic and apparently loved the film. Bhansali himself was present during the screening and that’s his first media appearance in months since the death threats started coming his way. Bhansali is a follower of Ravi Shanker and to get his blessings he showcased the film to him. Ravi Shanker saw the whole film and came out with nothing but kind words of praises and to top it all he did not find anything objectionable in the film with regards to Rajput culture in general or queen Padmavati.

Padmaavat has been attacked unanimously for months over it’s apparent objectionable content and wrong depiction of Rajput culture though CBFC passed the film with flying colors an a changed name calling it an U/A certificate film. Four states had banned the film namely Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana but the makers went to supreme court with their appeal and in a historic judgement the ban was lifted from all four states. Makers of the film seemed quite cheerful with this win as supreme court ordered that no state can ban this film and it will have an all India release.

For the worldwide release, Padmaavat was certified 12 A by the British Censors with an approved rundown of 163 minutes 37 seconds in both 2D and 3D. Ravi Shankar saw the film at art of living in Bengaluru in the presence of Mahaveer Jain and Shobha Sant (Bhansali productions). Padmaavat has been creating milestones ever since it was announced in good and bad ways as it is the first Indian film ever to have a worldwide release in IMAX 3D, which is the best format and the most prestigious to showcase an audio video imagery. Padmaavat will have paid previews from 24th night and will release on 25 January 2018.
