Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety box office collection: Might surpass Pyaar ka Punchnama 2

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is performing extremely well on the box office and the factor that it does not have a competition from any good film is a major contributing factor. The team of Kartik Aryan and Luv Ranjan have made some good money spinners before by the name of Pyaar ka Punchnama and it’s sequel which are phenomenal hits considering return of investment. The film has garnered exceptional word of mouth from the critics and the ticket paying audience and is working very well amongst the young generation of country.

Luv Ranjan is perhaps the only director in the Hindi cinema so far who has managed to get a good grip on modern day relationships and presents it in a way that everybody connects with them. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety banked a humongous 6.42 crores on it’s opening day and managed to increase the collection on Saturday by earning 9.34 crores. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is made on a modest budget and will definitely be declared a hit by the end of it’s lifetime run. This film has easy 2 weeks because Anushka Sharma starrer Pari is the only important release on Holi and it won’t take all the theaters.

Pyaar ka Punchnama 2 managed to do 22 crores on it’s opening weekend while Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will certianly surpass it as it had garnered 15.76 crores already and is expected to touch 25 crores by the end of first weekend. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety was initially suppose to release on 9 February but to avoid clash with Padman and Aiyaary, it got shifted to 23 February, which as it turned out was a smart decision to make. It’s competitor film Welcome to New York only did about 2 crores in 2 days which is very less considering half the film industry is in that film showing their faces for 2 minutes and basically promoting IIFA Awards.
