Shahrukh Khan to start shooting for ‘Don 3’ after ‘Zero’ ?

If speculations are to be believed than superstar Shahrukh Khan will finally begin the third part of his Don franchise with Farhan Akhtar back to direct it. Current Khan is working on his ambitious project Zero, in which he is playing the role of a vertically challenged person or the now frowned upon word dwarf. Khan has never played a dwarf in his entire career before and not many people have in general but the basic tonality of the film is fun filled journey of this short man which is about love and other factors.

Zero is directed by Tanu Weds Manu famed director Anand Rai, who is making his first film with Khan. Film has two female protagonist played by Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Shooting of the film is still on as it will take sometime to finish the entire film because it requires a lot of CGI to shorten Shahrukh in almost every frame. A film like this has never been attempted in Hindi film industry though an example exists in Hollywood by the name of Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Appu Raja is also one good example that Khan might follow in this film.

Don 2 came in 2011 and just swept the box office with thrill and charm. They released the film in 3D as they had that much confidence in the material now it’s been 7 years and there is still no official announcement from the makers. Frahan Akhtar rebooted the Amitabh Bachchan classic for the first time in 2006 with the plot being a little similar to the earlier one. Don 2 pushed the barriers of Hindi cinema in stunts, thrills and sheer over acting by some of the best performers. As of yet, Khan is totally focused on Zero to release it on Christmas of 2018 and might start shooting for Don 3 after that.
