The trailer for Satymeva Jayate has bee released. The movie stars, John Abraham, and Manoj Bajpayee, Amruta Khanvilkar, and is going to be released on August 15 2018. It has been directed by Milap Zaveri. The first look promises it to be a thriller with a social conscious and the quest for truth. It is also very different from Milap Zaveri’s other movies, which are raunchy comedies and have found critical revulsion. John, in his action superstar mode, looks intense, and this is the persona of the actor that is loved by the audiences; the macho hero who saves the day. But he has gotten a worthy opponent in Manoj Bajpayee in the movie, who is known for his character work, and looks impressive here.

Satyameva Jayate is going to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Gold, which is a bigger movie, in terms of stardom and scale, so it will be interesting if the former is able to make an audience for itself in the crowded weekend. But, if the content of Satyameva Jayate is good enough, it could be embraced by the audiences.

John’s recent movie, Parmanu, while being a more serious in tone and style than other Masala movie, picked up substantial word of mouth and resulted in a hit. In this movie, John is playing a killer of cops, and his visibly disturbed with the condition of the society, while Manoj is the Police man who wants to bring him to justice. There is lot of blood and screaming in the trailer, along with lot of violence, which is expected in a movie concerning a serial murderer. The role of Amruta is not looking any impressive and chances are that she is a love interest and isn’t going to impact the movie in any way. However, the two male leads are enough to bring audiences to the theaters.
