Sanju movie trailer: Ranbir Kapoor is astonishing as Sanjay Dutt

The trailer for Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt has been released. And it looks like another enjoyable, emotional and potent mix of comedy and drama from the maker of 3 idiots and the Munna Bhai franchise. The trailer is long, and has quite a long reach, as it cover Sanjay’s relastionship with his parents, Sunil (Paresh Rawal) and Nargis Dutt (played by a Manisha Koirala), his friends, and romantic partners. The movies takes the audiences with the highs and lows of his career, from his drug addiction in youth to the controversy of the 1993 Bombay bombings, to life in jail.

Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Diya Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Vicky Kuashal, Jim Sarbh can all be seen in their brief appearances in the trailer. But, the audiences are likely to only talk about Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt at the end of the world, and its his performance that seems to be the most impressive part of the trailer. Unlike the teaser, which seems to give the idea that Ranbir would slide into silly impersonation, he gives us, what appears to be a nuanced character, and is able to show his massive range even in a couple of minutes.

Sanju is going to be released on June 29 2018. It has been hyped since the project was announced, and was able to break the record of most watched teaser from a Indian movie industry. Now, its a matter of time before the trailer also accomplishes the same feat.
