Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Ranbir Kapoor as actor and convicted criminal, Sanjay Dutt is perhaps the most anticipated movie of the decade, if the hype that its teaser created, is to be believed. If people were expecting a serious, straight forward biopic, they were disappointed, as the teaser showed the different variations of Sanjay Dutt in the period of his life, and was more comedic and playful, than melodramatic. But now, an intense poster has been released for the movie, and it looks like Ranbir has really immersed himself in the role of the actor, as he stares at us with those sleeping eyes, the red tike on his forehead. The resemblance is really uncanny, and it seems that the actor will finally have a breakthrough with the audiences this year, after a series of flops.
Sanju has yet to reveal the looks of the other cast members who will be playing characters from the life of Sanjay Dutt, and include, Manisha Koirala as Nargis Dutt, his mother, Paresh Rawal as his father Sunil Dutt, Karishma Tanna as Madhuri Dixit, Jim Sarbh and Diya Mirza as Manyata Dutt, Sanjay’s current wife.
Sanju is going to be released on June 29, and if the hype remains constant, with the arrival of a trailer that is going to show much more, it can easily be believed that the movie is going to prove itself a blockbuster.
