Sanjay Dutt is currently shooting for his film Torbaaz in Kyrgyzstan in which he is playing the role of an army officer. Film is directed by Girish Malik and produced by Rahul Mittra on a very big scale. Sanjay is the lead in this film with Nargis Fakhri and Rahul Dev is essaying important roles. It will be Sanjay’s biggest film since he resumed work from ‘Bhoomi’ and is now a part of many big projects. Teaser launch of ‘Sanju’ happened recently and he could not make time for it in Mumbai as he was shooting for a month long schedule of Torbaaz.

Film has been in the works for a while now and shall see the dark of cinema halls in 2018 itself or early 2019. Sanjay will be walking in on the sets of ‘Kalank’ produced by Karan Johar post his work is done in Torbaaz. Shooting of Kalank has already begun with Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Madhuri Dixit. Star cast is rather elaborated with Kunal Kemmu, Kiara Advani, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Kapur also playing very important roles in the film. Apart from Zoya Akhtar movies, a multi star cast like this has not showed up together in a long time.

Sanjay has previously worked with Dharma in Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Agneepath’ where he played the antagonist ‘Kaancha’ and got the best accolades of his entire career since ‘Vaastav’. Everyone bowed down to his performance in the film and it was a major superhit. Kalank is yet again a high tension narrative film with meaty roles for people. Dutt is not exactly focused on the commercial masala films these days and want to act the complicated parts that he did not much before in his career. After ‘Sanju’, Rajkumar Hirani might start ‘Munna Bhai 3’ with Sanjay and Arshad Warsi.
