‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has given a lot of love to Salman Khan from the audience and did incredibly well on the box office upon it’s mega release in 2016. Two years after that it got a release in China as the film market got open to a lot of Hindi films. As of yet, the film has made $45.42 million amounting to 295.32 crores INR till it’s fifth week run. Film had already floured people living in most parts of the world but it seems as though Chinese audience is falling for it a lot more than expected.

Piracy is a weight that every big film had to bear and since ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is tent pole, it got pirated a whole lot. Film was even available on several streaming platforms before it released in Chinese theaters still the audience went to cinema spent the bucks and so it as a big screen adventure it was always meant to be. Had it gotten a release in China simultaneously with India than the collections would have been a lot more in counting than they are right now. Word of mouth is the key element for a foreign to do well in China and this film received tremendous amount of response upon release.

China is the second biggest film exhibition market in the world after USA but is rapidly growing to become number one. It has saved a lot of Hollywood blockbusters by giving them exceptional business as Americans audience has given up on them. Latest Hollywood release ‘Ready Player One’ has grossed more money in China than US itself. Aamir Khan opened the Indian film market to China as his films have grossed a fortune in their especially Secret Superstar which went on to bank more than 900 crores. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is still running proud in Chinese theaters gathering appreciation and box office.
