Sachin: A Billion Dreams day 2 box office collection

‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ the biopic of the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar hits the screen on Friday and collected approximately Rs 8.40 crore on its opening day. Yesterday on its second day, this movie earned an additional Rs 9.20 crore, bringing the total to Rs 17.60 crore. Although there is not much competition right now at the box office for the docu-drama the Sachin: A Billion. As Half Girlfriend’s box-office express has slowed down to a grinding halt and next week’s releases.

‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ the movie which takes viewers through Tendulkar’s journey in his personal and professional life. It features the master blaster himself as he lets his fans into parts of his life they may not have known yet. Members of the film and sports fraternity have already given the tale a thumbs up. Responding to the praise coming his way on Twitter, Tendulkar wrote in one post: “For me, it’s always about intention rather than expectation. We gave it our 100 per cent. So glad you liked it.”

The documentary narrative of the film has Sachin himself narrating incidents on screen and who better to tell the story of his extraordinary and illustrious life than Sachin Tendulkar himself. He walks us through his childhood about how his brother Ajit Tendulkar recognised his talent and took him to his coach Ramakant Achrekar. He talks about the immense support he received from his family. And incidents like his father pressing his tired feet at the end of a long day and how a 15-year-old young boy travelled to Pakistan for his first match, are sure to make you a tad emotional. This is one of the most anticipated films of this year opened to cinema theatres on 26 May in 2400 screens in India and 400 screens overseas. the film saw almost 40% occupancy in most places.
