As blockbuster ‘Padmaavat’ completes 75 days in the cinemas, Ranveer Singh shared a video on his micro blogging account which displayed the making of Allaudin Khilji’s very talked about look in the film. Ranveer portrayed the very menacing role of this emperor who was the soul reason behind tale of Padmaavati and Singh was exceptional in the role. Most people call it the performance of a lifetime for him as he managed to reach great heights in this character which is second to absolutely no Hindi film villain ever. Enough attention has been directed towards his very specific look and what ti took to achieve it.
Since the film had to face a lot of clash while shooting as well, most of Ranveer’s scene were shot in a flow which made it difficult because costume dramas are hard to tackle in general. An actor must get really exhausted after wearing a load of clothes for hours and shooting some kind of battle. One has to bear the heat and light all getting soaked into the heavy black clothes that Ranveer wore and still managed to give the performance of three lifetimes.
Film got it’s due from the audience on the box office and turned out to be the biggest hit of everyone’s careers who were involved in it in the major capacity. Considering the fact that Ranveer was the villain of the film, he managed to grab most of the highlight and simply went away with the film. In the making video eh described the preparation as the second best part of the job apart from actually being on the floor and shooting. Sanjay Bhansali was also present during the costume and make up trials for Ranveer’s look and ended up applauding the team for their undying efforts into bringing Khilji to life.
