Latest poster of Rani Mukherjee’s upcoming film Hichki is out now and the film will release on March 23. Rani Mukherjee plays a teacher in the film who suffers from a speech defect and nobody wants to giver her a job. Finally she gets hired by a school to teach a class full of children from slums who are school’s pro bono work. Everybody look down upon them children because they apparently disgust the clean and high class environment of school and they rebel because nobody treats them as equals.

Since Rani’s character seems to be an incompetent teacher, she is given this notorious class to teach and from that point on wards the journey begins of her trying to find her confidence and putting some life into those kids as everybody has given up on them. It’s the story of misfits trying to show the world that they are more than what they seem on the cover and in depth they are beautiful so world needs to give them a chance. Hichki is a story of hope, passion and desire which one feels inside of their bones but can’t express due to societal restrictions.

Release date of the film was shifted to March 23 to save it from some competition though the film will now clash with Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds which stars Ishaan Khattar in his debut film. This one could be called as Rani’s comeback film because she has been away from the silver screen for some years as she was busy getting married to producer Aditya Chopra and than becoming a mother. Trailer of Hichki came out a while ago and got some truly heart warming response from the people as Rani’s performance seems to be extremely unique in the film. Hichki is produced by Maneesh Sharma and directed by Siddharth P Malhotra.
