Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, teaser of Sanjay Dutt Biopic will be revealed tomorrow on 24 April across 80+ channels on television over a period of 2 days. Length of the teaser is 85 seconds and will be played across Hindi, English and regional channels. It will be very specifically telecasted on the channels showcasing IPL cricket matches to get the maximum eyeballs. It is one of the most hyped up presentation of a teaser in India ever but such is the anticipation around the film as Hirani is coming back on celluloid after a period of 4 long years since his last film PK.
Hirani is the most celebrated Indian director of 21 st century in India and has constantly delivered blockbusters by the name of 3 Idiots and PK. He has got the best of reviews as well for Munna Bhai series but is entering the biopic space for the first time. Sanjay Dutt has had a really interesting life in relation to his stardom, drug abuse and underworld activities which is why Hirani got fascinated in the story also knowing him personally for 2 decades helped in bringing those stories out to the most honest extent.
Hirani started his career and gave Sanjay a new one with Munna Bhai MBBS and later worked on the sequel with a supporting role in PK as well. Paresh Rawal will be portraying the role of Sunil Dutt in the film while Dia Mirza will play wife Manyata. Anushka Sharma has a important character to portray while Vicky Kaushal will also be getting decent screen time. Only 3 films old Jim Sarbh might be playing the role of Salman Khan though makers have not confirmed the details of his character yet. Ranbir Kapoor is playing the man himself who he has known nearly all his life growing in the lap of film industry.
