Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Ayan Mukherjee show up in the office of Dharma Productions for the costume trial of their upcoming mega production ‘Brahmastra’. Brahmastra is an epic film in every sense of the word and will be released in three different parts. Shooting of the film has not begun yet which is why the main stars of the film excluding Alia Bhatt and director Ayan Mukherjee arrive so that their clothes for the film can be finalized and they can get to production stage as early as possible.
First part of Brahmastra will be released in mid 2019 which gives production and post production an year and a half to get the film together. Ayan Mukherjee has been working on the project for years doing all the pre-production because Brahmastra is a VFX heavy film and not all the technology is available in India to pull it off with remarkable distinction. With any VFX heavy film one needs to wrap the principal production as soon as possible in order to give maximum time for vfx and CGI artists to sit down and move the pieces of the film in a very calculative manner.
Details of the films and characters played by Alia, Ranbir and Amitabh Bachchan are kept under heavy secrecy and will be revealed by the production house in their own time though it is by far the biggest project Dharma productions has tried to pull and they are the sole producers on the film. Ayan has made both of is films with Dharma by the name of Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewai, former was a critical success though latter became a huge blockbuster in the careers of both Ranbir and Ayan. Alia is working for the first time with Ranbir or Ayan though she has done many films Dharma.
