Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt start shooting for ‘Brahmastra’

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan have finally started the shoot of the first part of their trilogy by the name of ‘Brahmastra’. Director Ayan Mukherjee has been preparing this film for a really long while now and has been researching a lot about the visual effects technology that is suppose to be used in this film. Ayan’s last film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani came out in 2013 and since than he has not made any film. All because he wanted to get this mammoth project right, which could be a defining chapter in the history of Hindi cinema.

No production house before Dharma productions actually announced the complete trilogy in India ever and it shows that Karan Johar must be having immense faith from the film. Brahmastra is going to be a really long journey and first part of this film will release sometime in 2019. Plot details of the film has not been revealed by the makers yet as they notoriously want to keep it a secret till the first trailer of the film is released. Ranbir has never worked before with Alia or Bachchan but all three of them are touted as the best in their individual capacity.

Ayan started his career with Ranbir in 2009 cult Wake Up Sid, which is certainly one of the most appreciated film in 21st century Hindi cinema. Post that they made Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which ended up becoming biggest blockbuster of Ranbir’s whole career so far and the music of that film still has not found a match. Brahmastra is their third outing together and by the production value it is one of the biggest film in the history of Hindi cinema. Ranbir has not had the best of luck with his box office in recent past but his upcoming release Sanjay Dutt biopic might roll the dice in right direction.
