Ramadan Ends – Shah Rukh, Salman Come Together Once More for Iftaar

As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, the city of dreams gets ready to hold one of its most celebrated and heavily attended parties – the Iftaar party. The party held by politician and ex MLA Baba Siddique are a well known affair in the city with appearances from Bollywood celebrities and superstars every year. The party however is also known to every bollywood fan – it brought Salman and Shah Rukh together after years of rivalry and cold shoulders.

Do you remember the dark ages of Bollywood when the tabloids and magazines were all ablaze with the news of the two biggest Khans of Bollywood not seeing each other in the eye?! As far as the rumors go, something went sour at the birthday bash of Salman’s then sweetheart Katrina Kaif between the two friends who have appeared together in movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Karan Arjun. It was also reported that there was physical altercation and everything happened because of a snide remark passed by SRK on Salman’s then recent ex and the Bachchan Bahu Aishwarya Rai. However, that was 2008 and the two got together again in 2013 at the Iftaar party organised by Baba Siddique. What is noteworthy is that it took them five solid years to hug things out and Iftaar did it. Now we suspect may be the Chicken Biryani has indeed something very special about it that can mend broken hearts. And, so Iftaar and Chicken Biryani are here again to save the day.

If you are thinking who exactly Baba Siddique is, then let us satiate you with more information on the famous hosts of these lovely Iftaar parties. Baba Ziauddin Siddique is a Congress leader and three-term MLA from Bandra West. He has served as Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies and Chairman of Mumbai division of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. He was a student leader in his youth and is said to be very close to Sunil Dutt, so much so that the yesteryear actor turned politician is said to be his mentor.

Now, tonight’s Iftaar party is all about SRK and Salman, the two lost “yaar” of Bollywood coming together. Who else could you imagine playing the legendary Jai Veeru than our very own Shah Rukh Salman. However there is no Sholay remake in sight as of now and following are the pictures we could dust out from the rambles of micro blogging site Twitter specially for you, to have a little sneak peak in tonight’s special affair. Salman reportedly came to the party before SRK, and was accompanied by his nephew Ahil Sharma, rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur, and Tubelight costar Matin Rey Tangu.

On the other hand, many B-Town celebrities were also in presence, along with Tubelight director Kabir Khan.
