Ajay Devgn starrer is sure to be a box office profit for the producers as the word of mouth around this film is positive as it is reflecting on the collections. Raid opened well to 10.04 crores on Friday considering it is not the most mainstream potential blockbuster content but Ajay has managed to garner some loyal base of audience over the years who came to watch him perform realistically in the part and he did not leave the character for one second to be the Hindi film hero he is.
Raid is about one of the longest conducted raid in the history which went on for days and the incident upon which the film is based is real. Raid is set in 1981 when the original case took place and a massive act of heroism was conducted by government officer. Film opened light in the morning but picked by the end of the day to housefull shows in many places with people relating to the unorthodox content of the film. On Saturday it took a leap of 38.04 % and banked 13.86 massive crores on the box office. Devgn is delivering hits one after the other tremendously.
His last film ‘Golmaal Again’ was a blockbuster on the box office and turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year and here comes Raid leveling credibility. Raid has so far banked 23.90 crores on the box office and this number will only rise on the Sunday and perhaps steady in the week after. Upcoming week does not have a massive Hindi release which means Raid can totally juice it’s worth and would not have to compete with no other film in a way that could seriously jeopardize it’s business. It won’t be an easy task for this film but it might be able to net 100 crores on the box office.
