Premasoothram movie review and rating: An irresistible and charming love story

Premasoothram, directed by Jiju Asokan, and starring Chemban Vinod Jose, Balu Varghese, Sreejith Ravi, Indrans Dhramaraj Bolgatty, is an irresistible and charming love story with some great cinematography and memorable characters. The movie is simplistic in the way it carries out the love at first sight conflict, as Praksan, fell in love with Ammukutty the moment he looked at her, in school. But, she rejected him without much care about his feelings. Their relationship, or the lack of it, is carried out perfectly by the actors, who don’t have the vanity of other actors and just be before a camera, thus they successfully portray their characters without much hindrance.

But wait, there is more to the story than just a love story, as other people are also behind Ammukutty, and as the movie moves along, we get to see the way in which these people hilariously compete with each other. Jiju Asokan has done a commendable job in bringing the sense of place alive, and the settings, even as they feel real, look beautiful too, which makes the movie a must watch experience in the theaters.

The movie might not be saying anything new about love and relationships, but it has some very nice scenes that show the joy of being in love. And the movie is also blessed with a cast that doesn’t put a foot wrong, making every laugh easy and every emotion feeling more authentic than any other performers could have done. Go watch the movie and enjoy.
