Reportedly, Mohenjodaro famed Pooja Hegde to sign a film opposite superstar Prabhas which is romantic in genre and will be shot in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. Pooja Hegde has been doing a few Telugu films like Duvvadu Jagannadham with Allu Arjun, which was very successful on the box office. Prabhas is the hottest property in India right now after his super blockbuster franchise Baahubali who has already gone down in the most respectable column of history books as they garnered the cult status upon release and part two did the unbelievable.
There is hardly any industry in India which would not want prabhas to speak their language and which is why perhaps the decision to make a bi-lingual is being taken. Baahubali was dubbed in many languages in India and broke extreme box office records which does not even have a second as far as domestic collections are concerned. Prabhas’s upcoming film is Saaho which is basically a Telugu venture but will release in many languges post the dubbing since Prabhas’s audience grew by infinity worldwide after the release of Baahubali: The Conclusion. Baahu is currently running in Japan to commendable response on the box office.
Pooja Hegde was apparently considered for Saaho, which is a role that eventually went to Shraddha Kapoor. Saaho will be Shraddha’s first Telugu film in her career and that too with the most beloved Indian actor in the country right now. Prabhas has not done any out and out romantic film in a long time as in last six years he has only worked on the Baahubali franchise hence it would be good to see him go back in the territory of roles that made him a saleable actor in the first place. Pooja Hegde co-starrer might start shooting in the later half of 2018 to be released in 2019.
