People now more open to registering on matrimonial platforms: Survey

Marriage is not just an auspicious bond but it is a journey that lasts until the end of eternity. Once a while, we witness a great love story. There is nothing more inspiring in this world than to witness two people find love in each other, care for each other and die for each other when and if required that is true love. Love know no barriers and nothing matters in front of true love. There is neither mountains that are too hight nor ocean too deep when it comes to be with the one you truly love. These days the initiative and the saintly work is don by some online websites namely Shaadi.com, Matrimonial.com, Shubh Vivah.com and many other sites.

With the changing times, people have also changed and so their mind sets. Due to more choices, convenience and privacy people are opting to these matchmaking options and also are open about it these days. Not only the parents, youngsters are also a part of this. A survey was being conducted by a matrimonial website lovevivah.com which results showed that 96,000 people were involved in this among which 57,500 were men and 38,500 were women. According to the survey, majority of customers opting for registration at matrimonial websites are between 18 and 35 years in age, thereby busting the myth that mostly those who have crossed the marriageable age opt for online matrimony.

As many as 68 per cent of the respondents registered with lovevivah.com are in the age group 25 to 35 years and 23 per cent of the respondents were between 18 and 24 years of age. Only 9 per cent of the respondents were above 35 years, read a statement. Also, plenty of choices, convenience and privacy are the biggest reasons for opting for online matrimonial solutions as 47 percent of the respondents said they prefer going online in search of a life partner because there they find more choices as compared to traditional offline methods.

Also, 31 per cent said they went for online matrimony due to convenience and 18 per cent said they prefer online medium due to privacy being taken care of very well. The survey also said that online matrimony is a preferred choice along with traditional methods of matchmaking and not the last resort, as people are increasingly becoming open about being registered on a matrimonial website and it is no longer a hush-hush affair. Commenting on the survey, Gorav Aggarwal, Founder and President, lovevivah.com said: “The use of online matrimonial is no more a hush-hush affair among the Indian masses. The findings of this survey clearly bust the myth that online matrimony is the last resort for match-seekers. “The numbers show that online matrimony is increasingly becoming the preferred medium for match-seekers of what we normally refer to as marriageable age.”
