Deepika Padukone has thanked her fans and everyone who watched the Padmavati Trailer, and other viewers who have made it one of the most watched trailer of the year. The movie is directed by Sanjay Lila Bhansali, and also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. It is going to be released on 1 December, 2017. There has been a lot of hype about the movie on social media, and the first song released, Ghoomar, went out to become a superhit and people praised the dance choreograph, music, song and Deepika’s performance. Even outside of Indian media, the trailer has been well recieved by other publications.
It seems that the team’s efforts are going to be rewarded, because if the people are admiring the look and the direction of the movie, then they’re surely going to show up at the theater.
Padmavati is a historical drama about Rani Padmavati, who committed Johar (Self Immolation) instead of giving herself off to Alauddin Khilji, who had fallen in love with her and was going to storm into the castle.
The movie has gathered controversy because of allegations of historical inaccuracies, and has attracted the ire of the Rajput community from Rajasthan. Historically Inaccurate or not, Padmavati certainly has become the most anticipated of the year, and soon will be released for the audiences.
