Padmavati Controversy: Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter in law does Ghoomar

It seem that even controversy hasn’t stopped people from admiring the craft of Padmavati, as Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter, Aparna Yadav was caught on video, dancing to the hit song Ghoomar. It is sung by songstress Shreya Ghoshal and was released previous month, after which, Karni Sena, a fringe group objected to it, citing that Rani Padmavati never danced like Deepika Padukone and the costume worn for Ghoomar was wrong, showing Deepika’s waist. But now, it feels like the song has suffered much exposure and is being used in many weddings, so that the video of Aparna dancing to Ghoomar has made people quite shocked.

The Song has itself become a source of anger for the Karni Sena, but it has also gained up to 60 million views on YouTube and has been praised from many international celebrities as being aesthetically beautiful and lauding Deepika’s dance moves.

It is yet to be seen if the video is authentic, but it can be gleaned from the dance moves that the song is indeed Ghoomar. Padmavati has been banned in five states till now, including Uttar Pradesh, but it seems that it has also gained popularity and interest among the public, which is the result of this controversy.
