The controversy surrounding Padmavati, starring Deepika Padukone and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansale seems to have caught fire as the Rajput community cries and tears its posters, burns statues and calls for total ban for the movie. Rumours had long been discussed that the movie had an objectionable scene between Rani Padmavati and Allauddin Khilji in which they consort, during a dream sequence. Such reports are false, since Sanjay Leela Bhansali has himself spoken that there’s no dream sequence in the movie, and now, Journalists Arnab Goswami and Rajat Sharma, who have seen the movie are praising it to be the greatest tribute to the Rajputs. Still, the controversy is raging on, as the fringe groups use the movie to make their own political affliations stronger and create havoc in the Rajasthan State.

Threats about beheading and nose maiming have been made against Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone, but there hasn’t been any aggressive action yet. Meanwhile, Bollywood comes in support of the movie.

Now, CBFC has sent back the movie to the makers, citing that it some incomplete matter in the documents, while the makers complain that there is nothing objectionable in the movie and the concerned parties are welcomed to watch it.
