Padmaavat, against all odds, became one of the highest grossing movies of all time, clearly showing that people are no afraid of goons and that if the content is good, then they’re surely going to watch the films, however controversial the elements might be. And now, the audiences have gotten another gift by the makers for the success of the movie. The song, Nainowale Ne, which had been cut from the movie has been released with video, featuring Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in Padmini’s country, Singhal. The two actors are seen in love, climbing trees in their glorious attires, while sunlight streams from the gaps between the branches.
Neeti Mohan’s voice is melodious and flows so beautifully with the visuals that its a shame the song had to be cut from the movie. It could have been because the movie was already long, and showing another song could have stalled the pace, which, curiously wasn’t a complication with the songs featuring Khilji, that have been recieved with much fan fare among the audiences.
Still, this late surprise should be taken with graciousness, as the movie has had a very tumultuous journey to the screen, and its success should be celebrated as a triumph of art. Even though complications have kept the movie from being released in Gujarat, even after the ruling from the the Supreme Court that the movie should be displays in every cinema hall and the government is responsible for the security of audiences, Nainowale Ne is still a gorgeous surprise for everyone.
