In totality Padmaavat has banked 166.50 crores in India and it is expected that the film will cross lifetime business of Bajirao Mastani by the end of second week. Released in 2015 Bajirao Mastani was the biggest hit of both Bhansali’s and Ranveer Singh’s career though it did not open as well as Padmaavat.
On a non holiday Padmaavat opened to 19 crores despite of bans and incredible violent protests which includes burning the cinema theaters and throwing petrol bombs inside the running show.
