Padmaavat box office collection: Sanjay Bhansali wrote blockbuster all over it

Sanjay Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat has worked it’s magic on the Indian audience and collected humongous amount on box office. In it’s second week film held the ground really well and that can only happen with a very strong word of mouth. By the end of week 1 Padmaavat earned 166.50 crores, which is massive considering film did not open in four major states of this country. Upon the release, film got protested against in a violent and radical away due to which people in most states were afraid to walk in the cinema halls.

Protestors have thrown petrol bombs inside the running shows of the film and people still went inside the cinema halls to watch it. Padmaavat has already ebcame the biggest hit of everybody’s career who was involved with the film in a major way. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are all celebrating biggest hit of their life with a film which was not even going to release if supreme court has not given the most historic judgement on it by keeping it away from the states ban being implemented on the film.

By the end of it’s second week run film gathered 69.50 crores more for a grand total of 236 crores. Film still has at least 2 weeks of viewership before it goes down the cinema theaters making all the way for other films. Padmaavat had a 2 week straight up window of no major film releasing in it’s way to compete on the box office in some seriousness. Akshay Kumar’s Padman has hit the theaters now and since it is a big film, collections of Padmaavat are bound to go down from this point onwards which means film had it’s best run already and provide to be an incredibly profitable venture for everybody considering the fact that overseas are earnings are record breaking.
