Padmaavat box office collection: Ranveer Singh starrer in no mood to slow down

Padmaavat has almost took the box office by storm in ways one could not have imagined because of so much backlash the film had to face from various radical and violent protestant groups. Film has already ebcome the biggest hit of everybody who is involved in it a major capacity be it Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone or Sanjay Bhansali. Considering the fact that it did not get a release in four major states by the name of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Goa, which contribute to around 1000 screens in this country.

Before Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani was the biggest hit of Sanjay Bhansali’s career but this film overshadowed every other thing in the way. On it’s Week 4 Friday, film managed to earn 1.75 crores which took it to a total of 269.50 crores all India net including Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions. Considering the fact Padman has already released in between and took most of the audience but Padmaavat still stood the ground and kept on inviting people in the dark of cinema halls. For a film to do that kind of business in week 4 is mostly unheard of and very few tremendous blockbusters with impeccable word of mouth are able to achieve this status.

Last Friday, Aiyaary hit the theaters with many other releases, most notable one being Hollywood superhero epic Black Panther which has done better first day than any other Hindi film in this week. Despite of facing competition from many exciting new releases Padmaavat will still go on to see some good business in it’s week 5. In today’s day and age films are mostly made for one weekend or two whole weeks if they are really good but to see an extend run of 5 weeks straight from the release is not the fate of most films on the box office which makes Padmaavat extremely special.
