A first look for one of the most anticipated movie of the year, October, has been released. The movie stars Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu, and is directed by the critically acclaimed director, Shoojit Sircar. The movie has been scheduled to release on April 13 2018, however not much is known about the plot. The movie is presumably a love story and a thriller, so it seems two genres are going to blend in the story line, which makes it even more exciting for the general audiences and the viewers. This will also be quite a departure for Varun Dhawan, who, apart from Badlapur, is known for comedies and action films.
Shoojit Sircar made the universally acclaimed Piku, which won a lot of awards for leads Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, the latter of whom won the national award for his performance of an irritating father who is under the care of his daughter. Along with being praised by critics, the movie was also a hit.
October is also going to be a showcase for new comer Banita Sandhu, who isn’t known much for her movie work, but Shoojit, who is a casting master, surely cast her for her talents and this is going to be a surprise for everyone included. There have been reports that Varun’s performance in the movie is going to be inspired by Casey Affleck in Manchester by the sea, which won the actor an Oscar. The movie has been written by Juhi Chaturvedi, who wrote Piku. The trailer for the movie is going to be released on March 12 2018.
