Sweetiee Weds NRI is an upcoming musical romantic comedy starring Himansh Kohli of ‘Yaariyan’ fame and Zoya Afroz in the lead, the second poster of which was released today. Zoya was last seen in the film ‘The Expose’. The film has been directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala, who has earlier directed films such as The Train and The Killer, starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead and the producers are Dhaval Patel, Tariq Mohammed, Sada Bhuvad and Cyrus Dastur from Asmiy Entertainment and Grand Motion Pictures.

The plot of the movie revolves around a gujarati father’s obsession to get his daughter married to an NRI from England, while his daughter Sweetie is torn between her father’s wishes and her own love for a local boy, who is nothing like what her father is looking for in a son-in-law. The makers of the film have described it as a clean youth centric family entertainer with ample amounts of humour and emotions blended in to the story with romance. With its heart in the right place, the film aims to strike a chord with audiences of all age groups.
A lot of effort has also gone into the music of the film, which reportedly has a mix of songs across all genres. The music composers have collaborated with singers such as Atif Aslam, Armaan Malik, Arijit Singh and Palak Muchal among others, for the film.
While, the film is still in its post production stage, the makers are delighted with the way the film has shaped up and the trailer is expected to be out this Friday. The film also stars Darshan Jariwala, Kiran Juneja, Ankit Arora, Babloo Mukherjee, Adi Irani among others.
