Naa Nuvve movie review: This love story has fallen out of love with love

Nothing really is novel about this film as it becomes yet another boy-girl romance of meeting for the first time and falling in love. Writer has focused more on capturing the small moments of them instead of looking for a big conflict to make this love story work. Most of the moments are pretty dull, not because they are not original but also as they have been shown before in cinema. A scene of a girl feeling confused in her room about the boy that she is seeing is nothing but a cliche especially with Tamannah’s acting.

It is a little difficult to make Kalyan Ram loveable and he just ditches the following image of a romantic hero. Dialogues become a very important part in a love story when the characters are seeing each other quite frequently but they are mostly vague. Film is confused between staying in the ground reality and becoming highly dramatized. If a girl is missing a boy than she would pick up the phone and call him up instead of imagining him in the butterflies. Film is about modern day dating but that’s the exact thing being depicted wrong.

Pairing of Kalyan Ram and Tamannah does not look like two people yearning for each other or even connecting instead of just mouthing their own dialogues. Love stories require a certain level of discipline as the actors really have to connect with each other and pretend really good to fall in love. But them actors simply showed up on the set, somebody gave them the dialogues and they could not wait to get back in the van. Music and direction can only help so much to develop a love story but actors play the most important part. Overall one should save a few bucks and not watch this.
