Madhuri Dixit Nene will be starring in her first Marathi film by the name of ‘Bucket List’ in which she is playing the role of a happy housewife who decides to embark on a journey that would suffice her bucket list. Bucket list as a concept suggests that every person has certain desires in life that might not be able to do because they were too busy making a living or taking care of family hence the list increases of the things they want to do and try only for one time.
Usually Bucket list stories are fulfilled by people who are rather elderly and gave fulfilled their domestic responsibilities but Madhuri’s character still seems to be quite young who would many more things to go through with her family but she has decided to empty the bucket list till the time is right and she can. This is almost a coming of age film for a person who is going through mid life crisis and instead of giving up decides to take the command in her hand while making sure that she causes no damage to people of her family.
Since this was a teaser and not a trailer, it did not really showed what changed the mind of a character all of a sudden that made her behave in a particular way. Also the teaser refrained from showing what kind of wants are hidden in her bucket list but shows riding a big motorbike at a really fast speed. Madhuri is completely doing an age appropriate role which suits the kind of life experience she has had and putting that up on silver screen. Madhuri has spent most of her life in Mumbai before she moved to America for time being but somehow her way of speaking Marathi had a bit of caricature in it.
