Do you know who is the voice behind Baahubali in Baahubali 2:The Conclusion

Indian Cinema’s crowning glory, Baahubali continues to roar at the box office and has managed to rake in 383 crores in just a matter of 4 days. In the words of Karan Johar, whose company Dharma Productions has distributed the Hindi version of the film, Baahubali is no longer just a celebration of Indian cinema but it is a revolution instead. While the film is being loved and appreciated nationwide, we managed to come across a piece of information pertaining to the hindi version of the film, that seems to have gone unnoticed by everybody.

Famous tv actor Sharad Kelkar of Kuch toh log kahenge fame is the voice behind Prabhas in the hindi version of the film. Infact some weeks ago, Sharad shared a picture of him with director S.S. Rajamouli on Instagram and captioned it “Honoured to be a part of #BaahubaliTheConclusion. Thank you S.s. Rajamouli sir. Trailer coming soon. #VoiceOfBaahubali @karanjohar @dharmamovies.”

Sharad told a news portal that he underwent training to learn the techniques of voice over from a dubbing company. He says nobody was ready to believe that he dubbed for Baahubali in the film, not even his wife. Even Karan Johar was surprised to discover that it was Sharad’s voice in the film. Sharad was always complimented for his strong voice and tone all along his career, so when he got an offer from the makers of Baahubali, he did not let go of the opportunity. In fact, he completed dubbing for the film in just 5 days.

Even though he started his career on television, Sharad has done some film roles too. He was seen playing Deepika Padukone’s elder brother in SLB’s Goliyon ki Raasleela : Ramleela and also had a role in Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjodaro.

So, while Baahubali continues to re-write Indian film history, Sharad is ecstatic to be the voice behind it’s hero, who is now a household name in the country.
