Kedarnath: Sara Ali Khan’s debut film opposite Sushant Singh Rajput to release in June 2018.

In recent times, if there is one star kid whose debut everyone is looking forward to, it has to be Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. This bright girl, who is a Columbia graduate has been constantly clicked by the paparazzi in Mumbai and pictures of this pretty lass have been splashed all across the media. So, when news finally came in of her debut film Kedarnath opposite the talented Sushant Singh Rajput everybody rejoiced. The film will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor of Rock on!! and Kai Po Che fame.

We can now confirm that the film, which is in its initial pre-production stage will begin rolling by the end of the year and is all set to hit cinema screens by June next year. The production houses that have come together to make this film possible are Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji and KriArj Entertainment, whose maiden venture Rustom managed to garner all the praise and also got Akshay Kumar his first Best actor National Award. Incidentally, Ekta Kapoor and Abhishek ‘Gattu’ Kapoor are cousins and it will be interesting to see them collaborate. KriArj Entertainment on the other hand, which has Toilet: Ek Prem Katha up for release in August, seems to be delving in an interesting mix of projects.

Film Critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his twitter account and shared the above details.

Kedarnath is reportedly an intense love story set to the backdrop of the Kedarnath temple and director Abhishek Kapoor couldn’t be more happy with his lead cast of Sushant and Sara, who he says fit the bill perfectly.

Sara Ali Khan was also in the news recently when rumours were afloat that her father is not very happy with her decision to be an actress in the hindi film industry. But Saif Ali Khan, was quick to jump in for damage control and stated that he is extremely supportive of his daughter’s decisions but is worried because of the uncertainty of the profession.

Let’s hope Kedarnath proves to be the perfect launch vehicle for Sara Ali Khan and all her father’s worries are put to rest eventually.
